Turitella agate (also known as turitella jasper or fossil agate) consists of fossilized snakes, which are usually easily recognizable as white structures in the dark parent rock. Turitella jasper is used in gemstone healing to support introspection and to (re)focus on one's own wishes, goals and plans.

Turitella agate is created by the storage of mineral substances in the cavities of Turitella snail shells. These snakes belong to the gastropod group and are mainly known from the Paleozoic and Mesozoic eras. Agate itself Occurs through the slow crystallization of silicon dioxide.
The name "Turitella agate" is derived from the genus of snails "Turitella", whose fossilized shells are often part of the agate of the same name. These snakes are known for their spiral-shaped and characteristic shells.
