The amethyst was merely tumbled with silicon carbide to remove external impurities; neither abrasives nor polishing paste or similar were used during the tumbling process, making the amethyst stones ideal for preparing gemstone water, for example.
These amethysts are also well suited for other applications in modern gemstone healing, e.g. for harmonizing homes and houses and for laying a stone circle.
Also available in the stone varieties Rose Quartz (order no. 011330220) and Rock Crystal (order no. 010350220).
The Tumbled Stones are approx. 3.0 - 3.5 cm in size and are often used as Water Stones; you will receive approx. 40 - 45 amethyst stones per Packing Unit of 1 kg.
The name amethyst is derived from the Greek word amethystos (counteracting intoxication) and refers to the traditional belief that an amethyst protects against the intoxicating effects of wine and other alcohol. Spellings such as Amathyst, Amethist, Ametist, Ametyhst, Ametyst, Amnethyst, Amthyst or Amythist are therefore incorrect.
