A hard-to-get gemstone from Peru: Covellite!
Size of the Tumbled Stones approx. 2 - 3cm; each Packing Unit (PU) contains approx. 18 - 23 Covellites.

The name Covellite honors the Italian mineralogist Nicola Covelli (1790 - 1829), who determined the first exact chemical composition of Covellite in 1827.
Obsolete names for Covellite are copper indigo and blue copper glass; the names Covellite, Covellinite and Covellonite have not become established in the mineral trade.
