The Tumbled Stones made of star jasper fascinate with their light brown, star-shaped patterns in the dark brown stones.
The size of the tumbled stones is between 3.4 - 4.5 cm; you will receive approx. 43 - 47 tumbled stones per Packing Unit (= PU) of 0.5 kg.
The common trade name "star jasper" is not correct, as this is a young rhyolite stone. The brown groundmass is quartz and Feldspar, the white inclusions are also Feldspar. The correct term would therefore be star rhyolite.
Other names by which the mineral is referred to both wholesale and retail are star Oregon jasper or star Oregon jasper and star jasper as well as flower jasper and starburst jasper.
