These labradorites are a very beautiful room decoration as well as best suited for stone healing applications such as stone meditations and stone circles or simply as a pleasant pocket stone.
According to stone healing, labradorite stands for reflection and truth. It is said to strengthen intuition and depth of feeling, and to enhance mediumistic gifts. It is said to help unearth forgotten memories and recognize illusions.
Size of the stones approx. 3.5 - 4.5cm (XL)
0,5 kg/VE (approx. 9 - 13 stones)
In the 18th century the first Labradorites came to Europe, after they were found on the Canadian peninsula Labrador in 1770. The mineral got its name "Labradorite" in 1832 by the French mineralogist and professor François Bedaunt (1787 - 1850) because of the place of discovery on the Labrador Peninsula.
Occasionally encountered spellings such as labardorite, labradoride, labradoriet, labradorite, labratorite or lapradorite are therefore incorrect.
Labradorite belongs to the Feldspar group.
