The light purple hearts made of amethyst (C quality) are about 4.0 - 4.5cm in size.
On the back of the amethyst hearts you can see the dark gray matrix, on the front the typical crystal lawn (druzy) of the mineral.

The name amethyst is derived from the Greek word amethystos (counteracting intoxication) and refers to the traditional belief that with an amethyst you are protected against the intoxicating effects of wine and other alcohol. Spellings such as Amathyst, Amethist, Ametist, Ametyhst, Ametyst, Amnethyst, Amthyst or Amythist are therefore incorrect.
