The massage stylus made of apatite (stab.) is about 10cm long and between 1 and 2cm thick. Due to the tapered shape, this form of massage stone is ideal in the hand and can be guided and used during the gemstone massage like a pen.

The name apatite is derived from the Greek word "apatáo" for "to deceive" and was coined in 1786 by the German mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner (1749 - 1817). Since apatite occurs in numerous different forms and colors, there is a great danger that apatite will be confused with another mineral. Spellings like apartith, apathite, apatite, appatite or apatiet are not correct.
