Size of gemstone eggs from dark Labradorite about 6,0cm x 4,5cm

Labradorite is only at first glance a gray mineral - the second look reveals the sparkling, colorful beauty of the stone! In stone healing, the effect of labradorite is appreciated when it is necessary to strengthen intuition, depth of feeling and mediumistic gifts.

The dark Labradorite belongs to the Feldspar group; place of discovery of the raw material: Madagascar.

In the 18th century the first Labradorites reached Europe, after they were found on the Canadian peninsula Labrador in 1770 and later named after this place of discovery. Occasionally encountered spellings such as labardorite, labradoride, labradoriet, labradorite, labratorite or lapradorite are therefore not correct.

In many religions and traditions from ancient Egypt to India, China to Greece, the egg is considered a symbol of life, becoming and creation. In Buddhism, the breaking of the eggshell symbolizes the breaking through of ignorance.
