The tumbled stones made of intensely pink Rhodochrosite are approx. 2.5 - 3.5 cm in size.
The Packing Unit (= PU) contains 100 grams (approx. 6 - 8 stones).
Stone healing uses the effect of Rhodochrosite to increase activity, confidence and joie de vivre.
Abraham Gottlob Werner (1749-1817) initially named rhodochrosite manganese spar, taking into account its chemical composition and good Cleavability. Friedrich Hausmann (1782-1859) gave rhodochrosite its current name "Rhodochrosite" in 1813. This is derived from the ancient Greek words "rhodo" (rose) and "chrosit" (color). Spellings such as rhodhocrosite, rhodochosite, rhodocrosite, rodhocrhosite, rodochrosite or rodocrosite are therefore incorrect. Nowadays, obsolete names for Rhodochrosite are Inkaspat/Inkarose, raspberry spar, rose spar and manganese spar.
