One side polished pieces show the origin of the Petrified Wood in a fascinating way: the structure and shape of the knots are visible on the outside, while the polished top side reveals the inner structure.
Size of the petrified wood pieces approx. 6 - 9 cm, the pack contains 12 pieces of Petrified Wood from Madagascar.
Localities: Valley of Ankavandra, between Antananarivo in the center of Madagascar and Maintirano on the west coast of the island
Petrified Wood is also called tree quartz.
The Petrified Wood from which these small pieces of branch have been cut comes from conifers of the genus Araucaria and is approx. 230 million years old (period: Triassic).
