The brown Lime Oolite, also known as Hildegard stone, roe stone, margarite stone or margarite stone, was already valued by Hildegard von Bingen for its effect. It provides gentle relief and helps to let go of outdated ideas.
Oolite (from the Greek oon "egg" and lithos "stone") is a sedimentary rock consisting of many small mineral spheres (ooids). The globules are cemented together by a clayey or calcareous binder. If the globules consist of lime (calcite or aragonite), the stone is also called rogenstone or pea stone.
