Only rarely a mineral occurs only at a single locality in the world - in the case of seraphinite so far only Schelesnogorsk in the Irkutsk Oblast (Russia) is known as locality.
Mostly the raw material mined there is processed to cabochons for gemstone jewelry, to chain strands and other, rather flat things. Seraphinite as a ball or massage stone is therefore a real rarity!
The seraphinite ball with a diameter of about 4cm is perfect for gemstone massages, for room decoration or as a hand charm.
Stone healing uses serafinite (also called clinochlor) to improve communication and resolve conflicts.
The name clinochlor is composed of the Greek words "clino" and "chloros" and points to the inclined optical axis of the mineral and its typical green color. The brownish-copper areas are iron oxide.
