Beautiful blue aragonite sphere; the rough material for the gemstone spheres comes from Argentina.

Size of the massage beads approx. 40mm, supplied in a gift box. The gemstone beads are undrilled.

Blue aragonite is also known as oceanite in the retail and wholesale trade.

The mineral aragonite was first described in 1796 by the German mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner and named after the Localities in the province of Aragon in north-eastern Spain; the spelling arragonite is therefore not correct.

Blue aragonite is very closely related to blue calcite; the two minerals differ in terms of Cleavability, crystal structure and solubility.
