Necklace Apatite A Button 4mm faceted 42cm + extension chain 3cm

The intense blue-green apatite is also known as apatite neon.

The name apatite is derived from the Greek word "apatáo" for "to deceive" and was coined in 1786 by the German mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner (1749 - 1817). Since apatite localities in numerous different forms and colors, there is a great danger that apatite will be confused with another mineral. Spellings such as apartite, apathite, apatite, appatite or apatiet are incorrect.
