The onyx earrings (dyed) are supplied in pairs in gift packaging.
The studs and nuts of the ball stud earrings are made from rhodiniert 925 silver; the nuts are cast in silicone for better handling.

The name Onyx is derived from the Greek word "onyx" for "nail"; presumably this name, which has been in use for many centuries, refers to the surface of the polished stone, which is reminiscent of shiny fingernails. Spellings such as onix or onyk are therefore incorrect.
