The chrysoberyl chain is 45 cm long; the chain can be extended to a length of 49 cm. The buttons have a diameter of 2mm (at the Clasp) to 6mm (in the center), i.e. the necklace is worked in a gradient.
Clasp and chain extension are made from gold-plated 925 silver.
The raw material comes from Sri Lanka, the high-quality faceting was carried out in India.

The name Chrysoberyl is derived from the Greek words "chrysos" (Gold) and "beryllos" (beryl). Spellings such as chrysoberyl, crysoberryl or gold beryl are therefore incorrect. The spelling Krisoberil used in the first scientific description of chrysoberryl by Abraham Gottlob Werner (1749 - 1817) in 1789 did not catch on.
