The beautiful sunstone necklace consists of faceted cubes with an edge length of 4mm. Through the extension chain, the chain is wearable in length between 43 and 47cm.
Lobster clasp, eyelet and extension chain are made of rhodium-plated silver 925.
In gemstone medicine, sunstone is used when a stone with an encouraging effect is needed. Sunstone strengthens an optimistic attitude towards life and directs the view to the sunny sides of life. One's own strengths and abilities are (again) more strongly perceived.
The mineralogical name for sunstone is aventurine Feldspar; the reddish color and the glitter are caused by tiny inclusions of Hematite and other iron oxides. A nowadays obsolete name for sunstone is heliolite or heliotite.
