In gemstone healing, Seraphinite (also known as clinochlore) is used to improve communication and resolve conflicts.

The name clinochlor is composed of the Greek words "clino" and "chloros" and refers to the inclined optical axis of the mineral and its typical green color.

In German, the two variants clinochlor and clinochlor can be found, in English the mineral is called clinochlore, occasionally it is also referred to as clinochlorite. Massive aggregates, which can be used to produce Tumbled Stone, for example, are usually sold wholesale under the name Seraphinite. Another synonym is ripidolite.
