Classic ball bracelet with polished 3mm balls of lavender phosphosiderite.
Length of bracelet approx. 19cm plus 2.5cm extension chain in rhodium-plated silver 925.
Phosphosiderite is a rare, little known mineral. Only recently compact
stones from Chile, Mexico and the USA have been processed into jewelry. In stone medicine, phosposiderite is used as an invigorating and strengthening stone.
The name phosphosiderite is derived from "phospho" for phosphorus and "sideros (Greek for iron); the name given in 1890 by Franz Siegfried Willy Bruhns and Karl Heinrich Emil Georg Busz is also recognized by the International Mineralogical Association (IMA). The spelling phosphorsiderite is not correct.
