Gemstones impress with their special properties: Hardness, color, transparency and rarity. However, their beauty is often hidden within the stone and only cutting and polishing brings out their true splendor. This collection consists of numerous genuine gemstones that have undergone a long and laborious cutting and polishing process, which the cutter calls "tumbling". In this process, the pre-formed stones are placed in round drums together with water and abrasive powder and agitated over a long period of time. The movement and the abrasive powder slowly grind them down and remove their sharp corners and edges. In a final step, polishing powder is added to give the stones their elegant shine.
Each box contains various mixed Tumbled Stones in different sizes as well as a four-language information sheet to identify the individual stones.
