The popular lotus lights are now also available in pink!
The translucent Capiz shell (Windowpane oyster Placuna Placenta) has been used for centuries in Indonesia to make elaborate handicrafts and as a substitute for glass. This is why the shell is also known as a windowpane shell.
Height of the tealight approx. 7 cm, diameter approx. 13 cm. The recess for the tealight is approx. 3.5 cm in size.
The processing of the Capiz shell is very time-consuming, as the different layers of the Mussel shell are first carefully separated and made malleable by soaking. After shaping, cutting and drying, the individual pieces of shell are dyed and then assembled into the beautiful lotus flower-shaped tealights.
The capiz shells for the tea lights come from farms; the shellfish meat is a traditional local food.
Hello! My name is Marco Schreier, founder of the Mineralienhandlung GmbH of the same name, a specialist wholesaler for minerals, fossils, gemstones, tumbled stones, collector's objects and gift items made of stone. In the year 1998 I founded the brand Maulwurf Geschenke aus der Natur® in order to combine our product range for resellers, museum shops, dealers and other commercial users of the precious stones with our quality guarantee.
You will only receive mineralogically correctly identified stones from us, which promote the joy of collecting and experiencing the precious treasures of nature. Treatments such as coatings or coloring are always declared. Our own production in Asia guarantees the best quality at attractive wholesale prices and fair and transparent product procurement. I personally vouch for this.
