The faceted beads made of bright turquoise apatite (stab.) are 3mm in size, the entire apatite strand is approx. 38cm long and therefore very suitable for threading two sparkling bracelets, for example.

The name apatite is derived from the Greek word "apatáo" for "to deceive" and was coined in 1786 by the German mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner (1749 - 1817). Since apatite localities in numerous different forms and colors, there is a great danger that apatite will be confused with another mineral. Spellings such as apartite, apathite, apatite, appatite or apatiet are incorrect.
Bright turquoise apatite is also called neonapatite.
