String beads, Charoite (multicolored), 07mm (39cm)
These beautiful string beads have been cut from Charoite and intergrown minerals. The black areas are either Augite or Aegirine, greenish areas in the Charoite are Feldspar. Light or translucent areas are mostly canasite, yellowish-brown spots are tinaksite.
Diameter of the spheres 6mm, length of the charoite strands approx. 39cm.
Charoite is important in gemstone healing to strengthen determination and energy; the mineral can help to make important decisions and get through busy times.
The name Charoite is derived from the place where it is found near the Russian river Chara. The German name Tscharoit would actually be more correct, but this has not caught on in either the retail or wholesale trade. Occasional spellings such as chaoirt, caroite, charoid or charoiet, on the other hand, are not correct.
