Green, greener, Fluorite!
The predominantly green, faceted buttons of fluorite are about 2mm thick and have a diameter of about 4mm. The length of the fluorite strand is about 39cm.
Fluorite is used in gemology to support the themes of order, structure and learning.
The name fluorite is derived from the Latin fluere (to flow) and refers to the mining term fluorspar for fluorite. Spellings such as floride, florite, flouride, fluorite or fluride are therefore incorrect.
