This strand consists of fluorite buttons with a thickness of about 5mm and a diameter of about 8mm. The buttons made of fluorite have different variegated colors; the spectrum ranges from light green to smoky yellow and delicate lilac colors to intense green and dark purple.
The fluorite strand is about 40cm long.
The name fluorite is derived from the Latin fluere (to flow) and refers to the mining term fluorspar for fluorite. Spellings like Florid, Florite, Flouride, Flourite, Fluoride or Fluride are therefore not correct.
