Because of its color, Hematite Quartz is also known as Strawberry Quartz in both retail and wholesale markets. Iron Quartz is also called Iron Quartz, Lepidocrocite, Hemantoite or Harlequin Quartz. In English-speaking countries, the red-orange Iron Quartz is also erroneously called Peach Aventurine. From the English language is taken the name Hematoide/Hämatoit.
