Gabbro (low quartz plutonite) is the stone for a new beginning, for overcoming long-established behaviors. One's own needs can be better perceived through Gabbro - when planning new ventures, these are then included in the preparations. The faceted coins made of Gabbro are 6mm in size, 4mm thick; the strand is about 39cm long.
Gabbro got its name from the Tuscan village of Gabbro, near which the mineral was first found and described. Occasional spellings like Gabro, Gappro or Gabbra are therefore not correct. Since the Gabbro occasionally also shows a blue sheen, the mineral is also called Indigogabbro.
