Size of the sieve agate beads: 10mm
An unusual "stone" - from the Harz Mountains!
Sieber agate is not agate, but bluish slag from the Steinrenner smelter, which was created during the smelting of iron ore from the Eisensteinberg.
The stone is named after the Sieber River in the Sieber Valley (Harz Mountains); the misleading addition "Agate" refers to the banding of the material. Very similar to the Sieber "Agate" is the "Bodeachat" from the river Bode (Saxony-Anhalt, Harz).
