Chakras are energy centers that control our physical, mental and spiritual well-being. Each chakra (Sanskrit "wheel") is the key to a specific area of life and is associated with a certain way of thinking, speaking and acting. Chakras therefore reflect certain facets of our personality. They are related to certain experiences, memories, abilities and life concepts as well as to specific control and regulation mechanisms of our body. As the chakras react to energetic influences, they can also be strengthened, protected and harmonized with healing stones.

In this lecture, Michael Gienger explains the nature of the chakras, their structure and energetic composition as well as their functions and tasks. He also presents two different classifications of healing stones, one from a Western gemstone healing perspective and a second from a Far Eastern spiritual perspective.
