The assignment of lucky stones to the individual signs of the zodiac has a long tradition. The principles of the cosmos are reflected in the zodiac as well as in the properties and qualities of plants, animals and stones.
Each monthly stone is cut and drilled by hand into the shape of a lentil. The drilled astro stone is supplied with a black fabric ribbon on an astro card. The zodiac stones are approx. 3 cm in size.

The terms "chalcedony" and "carchedony" were first used by Pliny the Elder in his Latin Naturalis Historia in the 1st century AD.
