Thanks to the extension chain, the silver necklace with stones can be worn in lengths from 40 to 50 cm.
The chain, clasp and settings are made from 925 silver.
There are two theories for the origin of the name Spinel: Spinel is either derived from the Greek "spin(n)os" (to sparkle) or from the Latin "spinella" (small thorn). Various spellings of the mineral have been used in Europe since the 16th century, e.g. Spynell, Spinella and Spinellus. Today the spelling Spinel is common, occasionally also Spinnell can be found.
