Classic drop-shaped cabochon pendant that fascinates with the contrast of pink-cream Rhodochrosite and gold-plated setting!
The gemstone pendant is incl. eyelet approx. 4.2 x 2.1cm; inner diameter of the eyelet 5.5mm.
Size of the Rhodochrosite approx. 31 x 19mm, weight approx. 29ct.
The bezel setting and the eyelet of the rhodochrosite pendant are made of gold-plated silver 925; silver weight 4g.
Each Rhodochrosite is unique in its grain; the picture shows only one possibility. However, you will always receive a gemstone pendant of the same quality as shown.
By Friedrich Hausmann (1782-1859) the Rhodochrosite received in 1813 its name "Rhodochrosite", which is still valid today. This is derived from the ancient Greek words "rhodo" (rose) and "chrosite" (color). Spellings like Rhodhocrosite, Rhodochosite, Rhodocrosite, Rodhocrhosite, Rodochrosite or Rodocrosite are therefore not correct. Nowadays obsolete names for the Rhodochrosite are Incaspat/Inkarose, Raspberry spar, Rose spar and Manganese spar.
