Intense red-orange color, but still not an endangered coral species!
This beautiful pendant made from rhodiniert silver 925 is 4.8 x 2.1cm including the eyelet. The oval cabochon measures 20 x 18mm, the drop-shaped cabochon has a size of 18 x 15mm. Total weight approx. 29ct, set in bezel settings. Inner diameter of the eyelet 4mm.
Bezel setting and eyelet are made of rhodiniert silver 925.
The red fossilized horn coral comes from Riley's Canyon near Kamas in Utah. Occurrence of the corals is approx. 300 million years ago; they are therefore not endangered coral species living today!
The former coral reefs now lie high in the mountains of Utah. Since the coral is no longer mined, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find cabochons or coral jewelry with beautiful designs.
