Intense red-orange color, but still not an endangered coral species!
This classic pendant made of rhodiniert silver 925 is 2,2 x 1,8cm including the eyelet. The oval cabochon is 17mm in size, weighs approx. 12ct and is set in a frame. The bezel setting and eyelet are made of rhodiniert silver 925; inner diameter of the eyelet 4mm.
The red fossilized horn coral comes from Riley's Canyon near Kamas in Utah. Occurrence of the corals is approx. 300 million years ago; they are therefore not endangered coral species living today!
The former coral reefs now lie high in the mountains of Utah. Since the coral is no longer mined, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find cabochons or coral jewelry with beautiful designs.
