This beautiful green chalcedony is called turtle chalcedony at its localities on the Indonesian island of Halmahera, as the pattern is reminiscent of a turtle's shell. The path to the localities in the forest near the village of Casiruta is very difficult and only possible on foot.
The intense color and translucency of the green chalcedony make it a very special gemstone.
The chalcedony pendant measures approx. 6.2 x 2.4 cm; the setting and eyelet (inner diameter 4 mm) are made of highly polished, rhodiniert 925 silver and weigh approx. 2.5 g.
Size of the oval cabochon approx. 38 x 24mm, stone weight approx. 38ct. The cabochon made of colorful iridescent paua shell is approx. 8mm in size.
