The pendant with the drop-shaped, polished nautilus shell measures approx. 3.7 x 1.9 cm.
The setting and eyelet are made from highly polished, rhodiniert 925; silver weight 1.2g. Inner diameter of the eyelet 4mm.
Size of the disk 22 x 18mm, stone weight 11.8ct.
The creamy white disc with the typical spiral pattern is mistakenly referred to in the trade as a nautilus snake or Shiva shell. However, it is actually the lid with which the turban snail can close its shell in case of danger, the so-called operculum. This is also known as the Shiva eye and represents knowledge and wisdom. In the Mediterranean region, it is also known as the Eye of Lucia or Sea Eye.
