Airy elegant pendant with a beautiful Rhodochrosite as center!
The oval cabochon of Rhodochrosite has a size of 16 x 12mm and weighs 10ct.
Origin Rhodochrosite: Argentina
Size of the pendant 4.2 x 1.5cm, frame setting of platinum plated silver 925. silver weight 2.8g, inner diameter of the eyelet 6mm.
In 1813, Friedrich Hausmann (1782-1859) gave the rhodochrosite its name "Rhodochrosite", which is still valid today. This is derived from the ancient Greek words "rhodo" (rose) and "chrosite" (color). Spellings like Rhodhocrosite, Rhodochosite, Rhodocrosite, Rodhocrhosite, Rodochrosite or Rodocrosite are therefore not correct. Nowadays obsolete names for the Rhodochrosite are Incaspat/Inkarose, Raspberry spar, Rose spar and Manganese spar.
