Bright green Variscite in a classic silver setting - a piece of jewelry for him and her!
The drop-shaped cabochon made of Variscite measures approx. 25 x 16mm and is set in a frame; size of the pendant approx. 3.4 x 1.7cm. Inner diameter of the eyelet approx. 4mm.
The bezel setting and eyelet are made of highly polished, platinum-plated 925 silver; silver weight approx. 2.5g.
Stone healing according to Michael Gienger uses Variscite to promote clear expression and a sober, rational attitude. The stone is also valued for its uplifting and balancing effect.
The name Variscite is derived from the first known localities of the mineral in Vogtland (Latin: Varisca); the spellings Varizit or Variskit are therefore incorrect.
Occasionally found synonyms are utalite, Californian Turquoise or Utha Turquoise.
