This beautifully carved gemstone is called batik jasper at its place of discovery, Tasikmalaya in the west of Java (Indonesia), as its veining is reminiscent of traditional Javanese batik clothing.
Size of the pendant with batik jasper 4.8 x 2.1 cm. Inner diameter of the eyelet 4mm.
Bezel setting and eyelet are made of highly polished, platinum-plated silver 925; silver weight 4g.
The drop-shaped cabochon has a size of 35 x 20mm, stone weight 14ct.
Each gemstone pendant is individually drawn - the photo therefore only shows one possible grain. This is also reminiscent of the fur of leopards, of which there are unfortunately only a few left in Java today.
