This beautifully marked gemstone is called batik jasper at its localities in Tasikmalaya in the west of Java (Indonesia), as its grain is reminiscent of traditional Javanese batik clothing.
Diameter of the round cabochon 16mm, stone weight batik jasper 9.5ct.
Partial bezel setting and ring shank are made of highly polished, platinum-plated silver 925; silver weight54.5g.
Ring size 18 (57); height of the ring 2.6cm, width 2.0cm.
Each gemstone pendant is individually drawn - the photo therefore only shows one possible grain. This is also reminiscent of the fur of leopards, of which there are only a few left in Java today.
