This beautifully carved gemstone is called batik jasper at its place of discovery, Tasikmalaya in the west of Java (Indonesia), as its veining is reminiscent of traditional Javanese batik clothing.
Size of the batik jasper earrings 2.6 x 2.1 cm.
Frame settings, pins and Nut are made of highly polished, platinum-plated 925 silver; silver weight 3.5g.
The round cabochons have a size of 10mm, stone weight 5ct.
Each pair of earrings is individually drawn - the photo therefore only shows one possible grain. This is also reminiscent of the fur of leopards, of which there are only a few left in Java today.
