"Parrots prefer to be in pairs" was the thought behind this gemstone engraving by the artist who created these two fantastic gemstone birds from Rose Quartz and Sodalite.
The bodies of the parrots have been engraved from Rose Quartz and Sodalite respectively, the faces from Amazonite. The Rose Quartz bird also has tail feathers made of banded fluorite.
Including the base made of Pyrite and quartz, the gemstone engraving is approx. 37 cm high and weighs 5.69 kg; the base made of Pyrite and quartz measures approx. 24 x 14 cm.
Parrots are often associated with communication, diversity and intelligence. In some cultures they also symbolize exoticism and freedom.
