This beautiful coelestine truse is approx. 13 x 15 cm in size, approx. 7.5 cm high and weighs approx. 4 kg.
Localities of the cluster are Sakoany (Boeny region, northwest Madagascar). Although there are Coelestine localities all over the world and the mineral has even been found on the moon, the bright blue Coelestines from Madagascar are considered to be the most beautiful.
Coelestine is important in gemstone healing due to its stabilizing effect; with the help of the mineral, it is easier to bring structure and order into thinking, planning and acting.
The mineral got its name from the well-known mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner (1749 - 1817), who derived it from the Latin "coelestis" (sky-blue). Occasionally the spelling cölestin, zoelestin or zölestin as well as the name schützite or schaetzite and the English name celestine can also be found for Coelestine. Occasional spellings such as Celestien, Celestite, Choelestin or Colestin are not correct.
Coelestine occurred in the Tertiary period around 65 million years ago in cavities and fissures in sedimentary rocks such as limestone and marl.
Hello! My name is Marco Schreier, founder of the Mineralienhandlung GmbH of the same name, a specialist wholesaler for minerals, fossils, gemstones, tumbled stones, collector's objects and gift items made of stone. In the year 1998 I founded the brand Maulwurf Geschenke aus der Natur® in order to combine our product range for resellers, museum shops, dealers and other commercial users of the precious stones with our quality guarantee.
You will only receive mineralogically correctly identified stones from us, which promote the joy of collecting and experiencing the precious treasures of nature. Treatments such as coatings or coloring are always declared. Our own production in Asia guarantees the best quality at attractive wholesale prices and fair and transparent product procurement. I personally vouch for this.
