Gua Sha is a technique from traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) that has been used for massage for centuries. The Gua Shas from Lapis Vitalis are produced in our own grinding shop and are used by our numerous wholesale customers, from spa hotels to health food stores. Thanks to our in-house production, we can also respond to individual customer requests, e.g. for the stone types and packaging of the Gua Shas. The combination with another massage stone in a gift box is also possible.
Gua Sha - tried and tested for a long time Gua Sha has been known for centuries in the healing art of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). To this day, the use of Gua Sha and other scrapers for massage is very widespread in Asia, as the application is simple and requires no prior knowledge. In the western world, Gua Sha is mainly used for relaxing and draining applications.
Traditionally, Gua Sha was not made from stone but from wood. The use of gemstone gua shas is a modern development. Gemstone gua shas combine the traditional form of the scraper with the findings of modern stone healing. The three different sides of the Gua Shas allow alternating pressure to be exerted with the massage stone. In most cases, the polished gemstone Gua Sha is also very pleasant on the skin.

Application of the gemstone Gua Sha on the face Gua Sha treatments can be used all over the body; facial treatments are particularly popular. The Gua Sha is moved in approx. 10 cm long strokes on the previously lightly oiled skin. The pressure is gradually increased, stroke by stroke, during the facial massage.
It is important not to move the Gua Sha "criss-cross" during facial massages, but to move it carefully along the muscles from the inside to the outside, i.e. always move the scraper away from the nose!
