The author Birgit Damer is a trained goldsmith and gemstone expert. Hädecke-Verlag has already published two highly acclaimed books on chocolate and oysters. In the meantime, Birgit Damer gives numerous lectures on minerals. On one of her travels she met the illustrator Carole Isler. With her as illustrator, the gemstone tales took shape.
