Chalcedony is used in the gemstone wellness very much for discharging applications; the blue chalcedony agate brings things flowing again.
Longstones are massage stones for gemstone applications, which are especially suitable for large, strong muscle areas (e.g. for athletes or on the back and legs). With a thickness of about 2cm the Freeform Longstones fit very well in the hand and can - similar to a hand wedge - be held firmly with all fingers and used for massage. But also reflexology treatments are possible with these elongated massage stones!
The terms "Calchedon" and "Carchedon" were first used by Pliny the Elder in his Latin Naturalis Historia in the 1st century AD. Which stones have been described here, however, cannot be clearly identified on the basis of the descriptions. Over "intermediate stages" like Calcedon, Calzedon, Chalzedon or Kalcedon the name changed to the today common Chalcedon.
