Star Jasper Tumbled Stones are fascinating because of the light brown, star-like patterns in the dark brown stones.
The size of the Tumbled Stones is between 2,0 - 3,0cm; per packaging unit (=VE) with 100g you will receive approx. 10 - 15 hand-polished Tumbled Stones.
The common name "star jasper" in the trade is not correct, because it is a young rhyolite rock. The brown groundmass is quartz and Feldspar, the white inclusions are also Feldspar. So the correct term would be star rhyolite.
Other names by which the mineral is referred to, both wholesale and retail, are Star Oregon Jasper or Star Oregon Jasper and Star Jasper, as well as Flower Jasper and Starburst Jasper.
