As there is unfortunately no rough Picture jasper or landscape jasper on the market at the moment, we looked around for an alternative for a light brown gemstone with a beautiful pattern - we found what we were looking for in China. The beige-brown gemstone donuts with a slight golden hue are fascinating due to their individual veining.
Mineralogically, it is a banded limestone; the term "jasper" is therefore misleading, but has nevertheless become established in the trade. Walnut jasper is also sold under the name Walnut Jasper or Egyptian Marble. Other names are landscape marble, ruin marble and paesina marble.
Small Palmstones made from walnut jasper are approx. 4.5 x 3.0 cm in size.
Not much is currently known about the energetic effect; English-language sources attribute the themes of strength, energy and endurance to walnut jasper. However, this is presumably derived from the misinterpretation of the gemstone as jasper; as a limestone, the walnut "jasper" stands for growth and development.
The shape is ideal for many massage and wellness applications. The self-contained shape of the oval conveys a special sense of calm and harmony.
