According to gemstone healing, the pale green Prehnite helps us to pause for a moment in turbulent times when repressed images and memories from the depths come to light. Unpleasant realizations can be accepted more easily with its help, so that we ultimately emerge from this time stronger and more aware of ourselves. The sometimes necessary analytical and sober way of looking at things is strengthened with the help of the stone, so that we are able to perceive the impressions from our surroundings more quickly and in a more differentiated way.
The Hornblende contained in many Prehnites helps to release feelings of turmoil and tension by giving every inner impulse sufficient space to ultimately achieve the successful unity and integration of all aspects of the personality.
Very fine quality: pale green, transparent, many stones with Hornblende inclusions
Size of the stones: approx. 3 - 4 cm (XL)
0.5 kg/ PU
The mineral prehnite was named after Colonel Hendrik von Prehn (1733 - 1785); spellings such as phrenite, prenhite, prenith or phrenite are therefore incorrect. Von Prehn brought back samples from the Cape of Good Hope in 1783 and had them examined by the mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner. He described the material and named it prehnite after von Prehn. The stone is the first mineral to be named after a person.
Trade names for Prehnt are cape chrysolite and cape emerald, earlier common names are aedelite, chiltonite, coupholite and edelite.
Origin of the raw material: Prospect Hill Quarry (New South Wales)
