The octagonal flatstones (also known as small Large Palmstones) made of purple stichtite are approx. 3.0 - 3.5 cm in size; the majority of the hand stones have small portions of dark green Serpentine matrix.
Stichtite brings inner peace and makes you gentle, but also determined - so you can tackle the necessary and get things done.
Other names for the mineral are atlantasite or atlantisite.
Stichtite was first found and described in 1910 on the west coast of Tasmania (Australia) by A.S. Wesley, a chemist working for a mining company. The mineral was named after Robert Carl Sticht (1856 - 1922), the manager of the mine. Spellings such as stichite or stichite are therefore incorrect.
