The octagonal Flatstones (also called small Large Palmstones) made of purple Stichtite are about 3.0 - 3.5cm in size; the majority of the hand stones have small portions of dark green Serpentine matrix.
Stichtite brings inner peace and makes gentle, but also determined - so the necessary can be tackled and done.
Other names for the mineral are atlasite or atlantisite.
Stichtite was found and described for the first time in 1910 on the west coast of Tasmania (Australia) by A.S.Wesley, chemist of a mining company. The mineral was named after Robert Carl Sticht (1856 - 1922), the manager of the mine. Spellings like Stichite or Stichite are therefore not correct.
